“Nice hotel, indifferent service, construction noise”

I stayed here for one night for a wedding in NYC. The hotel is nice, and the bedding and toiletries were decent. The shower pressure was not the greatest. The big issue I wanted to mention is that the hotel is across the street from Ground Zero, and construction is practically 24-7 there now. There was a pair of earplugs in the room and a note from the manager about it. I was there on a Saturday night and construction seemed to start around 7am Sunday. It didn't bother me because I was already up, but this could be a big issue for some.

Having read a few of the reviews for this hotel i was sceptical about the level of noice from Ground Zero. We stayed on the 39th floor and it was incredibly noisy, not just during the day but at night as well. They are working through the evening and well into the night so if you are staying here you had better be a deep sleeper.

Service was reasonable although we did have to call house keeping to ensure our room was tidied and the bed was made. This was not done on our first day for some reason.

Didn't have time to use the pool but it looked to be clean and in good condition.

Good location for lower Manhattan but given the price of the hotel and the buidling work i would not be staying here on my next trip to NY.

“A great hotel in New York at a good rate”

This is a great hotel. Within walking distance are 5th Avenue, Empire States building, Grand Central station, Time square. The view from my room was brilliant watching the sunrise across Brooklyn. The gym is good and the horizon pool on the 28th floor has to be seen, especially at night. Just check out the tennis court on the 32nd floor.
My room was clean, well furnished and quite spacious for New York

“Downtown Delight”

Great location in downtown NYC. We were on the 16th floor directly overlooking the WTC site and had virtually no building noise. The room was spacious, clean and luxurious - everything you would expect from a Hilton really. The bar was good but we didn't eat in the restaurant. The pool was great and the gym looked good.

In a very convenient location - only a few minutes walk to Battery Park and the ferry to Liberty Island. The subway station is just outside the front entrance to the hotel.

Would certainly recommend as a good base for New York visit.

“Its a gem”

Millenium Hilton

Hilton Millenium is as comfortable and tranquil as it is majestic from outside. The people at the reception are very helpful. We checked in early and the reception gave us a room on one of the top floors. The room was spacious with a very confy bed, flat screen tv, clean bathroom with Crabtree and Evelyn bath and body products. The tall wide windows provided breathtaking views of downtown Manhattan and Brooklyn bridge. The housekeeping is quick to respond and meticulous. We never felt any disturbances from the Ground zero construction going on next to the hotel. There are variety of hotels nearby for lunch and dinner. Its very easy to reach any other place from here since the subway is just across the road.
We enjoyed every bit of our stay here, specially sipping wine while seated on the window pelmet and watching the Brooklyn bridge sparkling all night long.
