“Great Stay!”

Renaissance Concourse Hotel

4 of 5 stars
Atlanta, Georgia
Jul 21, 2008

Stayed for a weekend with my family. While I live in Atlanta did not want to deal with traffic all weekend.

Hotel was clean, beds, towels, soaps all great. Everyone friendly.

The only thing I thought could be better was by the pool have chairs set up. None were set up----one had to go inside get the cushion then set up your own chair. Also, no towels by the pool.

Otherwise a great jem!

“Greta Hotel Close to Airport”

Renaissance Concourse Hotel

4 of 5 stars
Dallas, Texas
Jul 2, 2008

We stayed twice at the hotel in two weeks and each stay was very good. Very large rooms wih big screen flat TV. Rooms are quite and many have excellant views of the area and airport. The noise from the airport was never a concern for us. Rooms are clean and have a great mattress on the bed. Bathroom have all the little things travelers look for. Parking is either valet or self park. TIP--Keep your room key as it is needed to get out of the gated parking lot. Both come with a fee. Lots of conventions at the hotel when we were there. Due to early flights we did not get chance to eat at the hotel.

“Overpriced with an icy cold indoor pool”

Renaissance Concourse Hotel

Jun 21, 2008

The kids enjoyed being in a balcony eating snacks and watching airplanes fly by with their binoculars.
Otherwise, we overpaid. The room was over $100 with parking $9.0. I understand the hotel city tax 9%, but they also added their own 9% occupancy resort tax.
The indoor pool was the coldest water I have ever touched. Hotels are cutting back on water heating but I expected more from this hotel.

In the outside there were people that looked like they were not staying there. As if they had snuck in. The women were dedicated on getting a tan, which is strange for a hotel that caters to airport travelers. If you have kids, beware all of them, no matter what age they untie the tops to get a full tan. I think hotel employees and families were allowed to use the pool on weekends.

You can tell great effort has been made to make this old hotel look new again. They still have to work on replacing their 20 year old coffee makers and fixing up the outside pool.

It would be nice if hotels that advertise indoor heated pools would at least heat them enough to put your feet in them.
I complained about the icy cold water and got a small discount, since we booked this hotel solely for the indoor pool.

“Great stay - great airport views and airport sounds...”

Renaissance Concourse Hotel

Booked this hotel day of stay at a decent rate- GREAT staff, great airport location, great location if you are driving (right off of highway).

- yes - this is a great hotel IF YOU ENJOY airport noise!!! My room 1127 faced the airport - great views and the balcony was a plus. The noise was bearable - very interesting to watch the planes take off and land. very very neat.

- I ordered room service - breakfast was much better than supper (chicken panini - was cold & bland).

staff was VERY friendly - received complementary upgrade from front desk.

room was clean and did not smell - it was hot AND humid - no dampness - propped open balcony door for fresh air (and jet fumes!)

I would stay here again!!!

“LOVE MY STAY @ THE Renaissance Concourse Hotel/AT THE AIRPORT IN ATLANTA, GA”

From the time I booked my room directly for the hotel website, I was able to reserve with a credit card with good holiday rate. They had a check list of request which one was an early check in. The hotel emailed me for another services, and updated me when it was close to my check in date. I called to confirm and everything as a go. The shuttle service was on point~ not even 10 mins from the airport~ very nice driver~

the hotel was booked, but we did not get in each others way~

The hotel is an understatement, you have to be there to see it's really nice decor and maintained well~~ the front desk gave me a choice of a baloney facing the airport or the parking lot~ the low floor was available facing the airport~

I had a corner room on the 3 fl~ wonderful view~ the room itself was nice with coffee maker and free HBO~

noisy doing the day that’s only if you are setting outside ~ but the room is sound proof enough with black out curtains and by night the incoming and outgoing flights were at a standstill~ nice and quite~

the only noise were the kids that were in town for baseball games and from talking to one of the coach’s earlier they had a late games, ~ which I did not mind~ b/c the bed was sooooo comfortable, I could have bought it home with me~

breakfast and dinner was good~ the dinner area was an open area were you could see everything even a view of the airport, and the glass elevators~

Customer services was magnificent the hostess was very personal and helpful with some of the questions I had about the hotel~ the front desk assisted me with getting a points card right on the spot~

the driver that took me to the airport was very nice and stop at the gas station to get me a Atlanta paper~

I must say Atlanta does have good old fashion southern hospitality ~

I would like to add, if you in Atlanta, at the airport, they do have a MARTA (local train ) that will take you in town for sightseeing, I will do that the next time I am there~

over all, I love this hotel and will come back.
