One of several of the Dutch Windward Islands Saba offers generally pleasant most of the year. The average temperature is a comfortable 80 degrees, but it can be a bit warmer in the summer and bit cooler in the winter.
Easterly trade winds and the tall Mount Scenery create ever-changing cloud movements. Temperatures can also be cool in the Windwardside than in The Bottom, and this is especially noticeable at night.
Throughout the year the island does all get a lot of sun, so no matter what time of the year you go you’re likely to get a tan. In fact, be sure to bring along some sunscreen if you’re going to soak up those island rays. The summer is generally the rainy season however, which lasts from May until about the beginning of November. The islands are within the hurricane zone, and the last major hurricane to make landfall was in 1998 when Hurricane Georges hit the island. Damage was light, and thankfully no one was killed.
The winter months are from November to February but daytime temperatures can still be in the upper 70s to low 80s during the day and in the low 60s or so at night. Likewise, the humidity tends to be much less during the winter however.
