Destinations Weddings are becoming more and more popular, and St Barts is the ideal location.
There are 22 beautiful beaches, a few dozen glorious hotels and over 500 magnificent villas to choose from, as well as one Anglican Church (with an English Vicar) and three Catholic.
Getting officially married on St Barts can be complex, with one of the couple having to be resident for a month. Also the ceremony has to take place at the mayor's office.
As such the majority of the ceremonies on the island are in fact Blessings, with the couple having a quiet civil ceremony at home, and inviting their friends and family to a more elaborate affair on St Barts.
Accomodation for the couple and the rest of their party can be organised through hotels, such as the Le Toiny, The Carl Gustav, or The Guanahani or Real Estate agents such as Ici et Là or Marla.
Many major car rental companies have franchises on the island, such as Alamo, Europcar and Avis.
There are numerous florists around the island, as well as photographers.
While you can organise the event yourself, doing so from a distance can be hard work and reconnaissance trips expensive as such many people will employ the services of a professional such as St Barts Premium IV or Destination Management Services who will organise everything from flowers and decorations, to a location, minister and musicians to DJs and will take care of all of the reception planning.
