Ankara offers several options to its visitors for getting around, the best method depending on where you are going and how quickly you need to get there.  Driving is one option, although the traffic in the city can sometimes be heavy and many of its ancient roads are quite narrow.  Parking in some parts of the city many also prove to be problematic.  If you choose to drive be sure to have a good idea of where you are going and the available parking.  Car rentals are available at the airport and at a few locations in the city.

Reliable bus service is also available in Ankara.  The city's main bus terminal offers buses which travel along several routes in the city as well as to other cities in Turkey.  Bus schedules are available at the terminal's website as well as at many hotels and shops in the city.
