Miami Beach' s Jackie Gleason Theater will surely meet your need for great theater, music and dance. This Art-Deco inspired building is located at 1700 Washington Avenue. It was the old Miami Beach Auditorium where Golden area legends like Frank Sinatra and Bob Hope watching boxing events or were performing their own shows on stage. In the 70's and 80's, it was a must stop for Broadway productions, and stars such as Liza Minelli had concert presentations.

Now, the theater brings not only national performers and shows. The theater hosted the Billboard Latin Music Awards and MTV's Video Music Awards Latinoamerica, and it is dedicated to concerts by Latino and international artists. Marc Anthony, Sin Bandera, Paquito D'Rivera honored this stage with spectacular concerts.

The Miami City Ballet is a resident company of the theater. Additionally, it houses the International Ballet Festival of Miami in September. This is a very important annual festival featuring world-wide prestigious ballet companies from Austria, Canada, Czechoslovakia, England, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Spain, Argentina, Brazil, and Mexico.
