Dance Theater Workshop (DTW), founded in 1965, is a fantastic institution dedicated to the growth and exposure of contemporary dance in New York City.  DTW was the starting ground for many of today's most prominant choreographers: Bill T. Jones, Susan Marshall, David Dorfman, Bebe Miller, Mark Morris, and Tere O'Connor.  Every year, DTW provides a series of artist residencies, studio projects, and a full season of dance performances.  People in the "downtown-dance" scene always know DTW is the place to see the best of current and emerging artists who are moving dance forward.  Check DTW out at http://www.dancetheaterworkshop.org
