Buffalo parties into the wee hours, with last call at 4 a.m. Most of the action is downtown on West Chippewa Street, between Main and South Elmwood. Two popular spots, the lively Big Shotz and the more laid-back La Luna, have music and plenty of Canadian Labatts Blue Beer. For a relaxing desert cocktail, check out The Chocolate Bar. For a more subdued atmosphere, go over to Allentown. Gabriel’s Gate and The Old Pink are two spots worth checking out. This is also the heart of the city’s gay scene. For the 25 and older crowd, check out Martini Bars Scarlet On Virginia, The Snooty Fox, or Mothers. For blues, see a variety of local and national musicians at the Lafayette Tap Room on Washington Street. More live music is on at Main Street’s Tralf. This 450-seat music hall hosts jazz, blues, R&B, and rock. Mostly local bands perform several times a week. For bigger concerts and performances, look to the HSBC Arena on the city’s waterfront, and the University at Buffalo’s Center for the Arts.
